We can provide experienced Building, Mechanical and Electrical and Civil Engineering Clerks of Works to give a quality finish to your project. Each contract is individually tailored to suit client needs. We have full Professional Indemnity, Public and Employer’s Liability insurances. Although based in Leicestershire in the Midlands we provide Clerks of Works all over the UK and Overseas. A Clerk of Works has become even more important due to the lack of trade training in the construction industry which has led to poor standards of workmanship which will eventually mean a lack of experienced tradesmen to progress into management, consequently affecting quality control on site by the contractor. An efficient site inspection service is vital and the only person on site with both practical and theory experience is the Clerk of Works. This expertise can ensure the project is built correctly in accordance with the plans and specifications to achieve the high quality and professional finish required and to give added value to the Client. On any project errors will occur and attempts will be made to cut corners. The Clerk of Works will liaise with the design team and the contractor and can often look at things from a 'tradesman's' point of view to show the best way to solve a problem, keep the job on programme and, most importantly, save money for the Client. Site Inspections should be made on a daily basis by the Clerk of Works to ensure quality control. Our Clerks of Works provide efficient daily, weekly and monthly reports which give valuable records for the project for future purposes. |
